Summer 2011

A Midsummer Night's Dream

We are showing Midsummer Night's Dream this summer in parks throughout the Bay Area. Come lounge in the sun, bring a picnic, bring wine, share laughs with your friends and family, partake deeply of quite possibly the very best comedy ever written.

Callboard Magazine says, “Woman’s Will proves itself the most imaginative and one of the best Shakespeare companies”. Chad Jones, formerly of the Oakland Tribune,  “There’s probably no Shakespeare that Woman’s Will wouldn’t do well…Woman’s Will is no-nonsense theatre brimming with intelligence and passion”.

Victoria Erville, the Artistic Director and the director of Midsummer, has this to say about the play, "The setting of this Midsummer is in the late 1960's.  The summer of love was in full swing and the times they were a-changin’. Into this sixties melting pot of music, sexual freedom, creative expression, and politics comes the wild and beloved story of Midsummer Night's DreamMidsummer is about magic, love and family--the family we are born into and the family we create. Simply staged in Bay Area parks, this production promises music, fun and, naturally, some family-friendly free love."

All performances are free, donations are requested.

All performances are at 2:00pm, except for Pleasanton which is at 4:30pm.
