Girl Power Shakespeare Camps!

WOMAN’S WILL , in collaboration with Oakland Parks and Recreation, is offering imagination camps for young children and drama empowerment camps for girls to teach confidence and leadership skills.

 Midsummer Dreamers

(8-15, girls only) Girls take center stage in this 2 week all day camp, taking classes in movement, acting, stage combat, voice ,improv and mask, learning about theatre production by creating their own costumes and props, and rehearsing an adaptation of a Shakespeare play. The session culminates in a  public performance.

 Two week session is Monday through Fridays in July at Dimond Park in Oakland, from 9 am to 3pm. Before/after camp care available. Registration will begin in January-check website or contact shuff@womanswill.org for more details.

Magical Creatures

(Ages 5-7,co-ed) Young children explore the story and characters of a Shakespeare play  through story-telling, creative movement and mask, taught by theatre professionals from Woman’s Will Theatre. Helping create their own masks and costumes, campers perform a fun mini- performance of the story at the end of the week.

 One week sessions  are Monday through Fridays in July at Dimond Park in Oakland, from 9 am to 12.

Before/after camp care available. 

 Tuition: $125
