Driving
From San Francisco: Take the Bay Bridge to 80 North towards Berkeley, exit at Ashby Ave. Take a left at your first light (7th Street), take a right at the second stoplight (Parker), then take your first left at 8th St. There is a long low warehouse building on the right; the Eighth Street Studio entrance is at the last bay, across from the parking lot. (There is a sign saying "Eighth Street Studio" above the door.)
From Oakland: Take 580 West to 80 E towards Berkeley/Sacramento, take the Ashby exit. Take a left at your first light (7th Street), take a right at the second stoplight (Parker), then take your first left at 8th St. There is a long low warehouse building on the right; the Eighth Street Studio entrance is at the last bay, across from the parking lot. (There is a sign saying "Eighth Street Studio" above the door.)
From El Cerrito: Take 80 W towards Berkeley/San Francisco to Ashby exit. From Marin: Take Richmond bridge to 80 South towards Berkeley, to Ashby exit. Take a left at your first light (7th Street), take a right at the second stoplight (Parker), then take your first left at 8th St. There is a long low warehouse building on the right; the Eighth Street Studio entrance is at the last bay, across from the parking lot. (There is a sign saying "Eighth Street Studio" above the door.)
Public Transportation
From Ashby BART: you can either walk (approximately 30 minutes) or continue by bus.
TO WALK: head west (towards the bay) on Ashby Ave approximately 10 blocks to San Pablo, take a right on San Pablo and continue approximately 6 blocks to Parker (at the B of A sign). Take a left on Parker and continue three blocks, take a right on Eighth. Eighth St Studio is on the right at the last bay of doors.
TO BUS: Take the #15 bus to MLK & Dwight. Transfer to the #65 on Dwight and get off at Eighth St. Buses run every 15 minutes all day — the last run is at 7:30pm.
OR: Take the #6 down Ashby toward San Pablo. Transfer on San Pablo to the #72. Get off at Dwight, walk three blocks west on Dwight to Eighth St. Buses run every 15 minutes. Last run is at 7pm.
From Berkeley BART: Take the #65 from Center St. to 9th & Dwight. Walk one block west on Dwight to Eighth St. Runs every 20 minutes during commute hours; every 30 minutes otherwise. No Saturday run. 8pm last run.
